Back pain can afflict anyone, as a glance at the statistics will reveal. Up to one-half of all American workers experience back pain in a given year, with 80 percent of us experiencing it at some point or other. It's also an issue that can strike individuals in any phase of life, including:
Back pain may stem from either acute or chronic health situations. A major injury such as auto accident injury or sports injury for instance, can throw the vertebrae violently out of alignment while also stretching connective tissues and tearing the muscles that support the back. Unfortunate efforts at lifting heavy objects can also produce serious soft tissue damage in the back.
Some injuries cause herniated discs, where the disc's inner material pushes outward and interferes with nearby nerve roots. This not only causes localized back pain; it also sends pain signals down the nerves to other parts of the body. (Sciatica, a lower back injury that also causes leg pain, is a prime example.) But some back injuries occur more gradually as a result of overuse, such as the aches and pains caused by poor workplace ergonomics.
Degenerative spinal conditions can advance even more slowly than overuse injuries. One common problem is bulging discs, the resulting of age-related loss of disc hydration. The affected discs flatten, losing height and straining the spinal joints (which can lead to arthritis). Narrowing of the spinal canal (stenosis) can also cause nerve pain and interfere with nerve signaling (which impairs overall health). Spondylolisthesis, a slippage of one disc's position over another, is another source of degenerative back pain.

I started coming to Dr. Lund a few months ago. I have improved so much. I have never let better! I have no more PMS!! I am a lot calmer and I look and feel more relaxed. If you don't believe me, ask my husband.
Dr Lund is a great chiropractor. Besides the ease of scheduling and a clean office, his skills are unmatched. I have been to 7 chiropractors in different parts of the country, and none have been as effective as Dr Lund. He doesn't have you come in and do some elaborate first time visit full of X-rays or tests, but listens well to your concerns, feels your problem areas and adjusts you quickly. In minutes you are in and out with no stress and feeling 100% better. Don't waste your time looking for another chiropractor, just call him..
Professional, polite, proactive, delightful. Having back pain since a child I sceptically decided to go to a chiropractor at age 40 (my back pain was not acceptable anymore). Dr Lund explained the cause & affect of my back pain & surprisingly why I may I also be having intestinal issues that my body/back is trying to accommodate for. He has a good bed side manner yet is firm with his advise (ie: try harder & do daily back exercises). I needed that.
